The Arc of Orleans County’s PERKs (Proud of our Employees Recognition K(c)ommittee) team is proud to announce that Kevin Robison has been named Employee of the Month for September 2010. As an Employment Specialist at Career Ventures, Kevin’s primary responsibilities are to assist people in finding employment through the Employment Training Program. In order to help his team members manage their many duties, Kevin has also been working with several others in the supported employment program and waiver follow along program. During September, Kevin placed three individuals in community based internships. This is not an easy task! Kevin made himself available to help coach the individuals and their employers to ensure a smooth transition. One of the individuals has limited mobility and needs assistance with eating and toileting. Kevin has been assisting this individual with these tasks until an aide can be hired even though they are not part of his traditional job duties. Thank you Kevin for going above and beyond for the people we serve and your co-workers! Congratulations!
