You Have Made A Difference

Thank You For Your Support!
I moved to the Albion area over 17 years ago with my husband and three small children and I needed to find a job in the area.  I went to the Department of Labor and they sent me to The Arc of Orleans County.  I remember walking into the building at Caroline Street and within an hour I was being interviewed.  It’s hard to believe that the years have flown by and now my husband and I are on our way to a new adventure in Arizona.
It has been a joy to be a part of the Orleans County Community and to work for The Arc of Orleans County for 16 years and now for the unified  Arc of Genesee Orleans.  I have worked in several positions over the years, the last 10 in the Community Relations Department.  I have seen the great support and generosity this community provides and worked alongside dedicated, passionate staff.  I have made life long relationships with the individuals we serve, fellow staff, volunteers, local businesses, corporations, foundations, and many more.

It has been an honor and pleasure to work at a place that serves amazing individuals with incredible abilities.  To the individuals we serve, you have taught me that anything is possible and life is precious and should be enjoyed.  You have given me a lifetime of memories.
I would like to thank each and everyone in this community for supporting the Arc of Genesee Orleans and myself throughout the years.  You truly have made a difference to those we serve and myself.  I have been blessed and  will keep you all in my heart.

Love,
Darlene Golson
Community Relations Manager

Arc of Genesee Orleans Hosts Blood Drive to Assist with Severe Winter Blood Shortage

Arc of Genesee Orleans Hosts Blood Drive

Blood Drive to Benefit
American Red Cross

There's no way to say this gently: this is an emergency.

Hectic holiday schedules for many regular blood donors contributed to about 37,000 fewer donations in November and December. Snowstorms and severe weather have also impacted supplies. More than 90 blood drives were forced to cancel in December, resulting in thousands of uncollected donations. The American Red Cross is announcing this crisis on national news and media outlets, calling for donors across the U.S. to help.

The most vulnerable and critical patients across the U.S. may face delays in critical medical care unless generous donors like you can help make up for the gap.

Will you commit to make a donation?  Please use the link below to schedule your appointment.  Walk-ins are also welcome!!

The Arc of Genesee Orleans will be hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive on Friday, January 27th.

The Blood Drive will be held in the 2nd floor conference room at the Arnold Gregory complex, 243 South Main Street, Albion, from 10 am to 2 pm.
