2012 GRANTS REVIEW
The Arc of Orleans County received 12 grants totaling $54,937 in 2012.
At Camp Rainbow…
1. The JM McDonald Foundation provided $5,000 in grant funding to re-surface the basketball court and purchase arts & crafts for the campers.
2. The Lyndonville Area Foundation provided $5,000 in grant funding to help pay for the transportation cost of the campers.
3. $4,000 in grant funding was received from The Orleans County Foundation in conjunction with the Curtis Foundation to assist with the cost of a new pool fence and pool signage. This will be worked on in 2013.
At Rainbow Preschool…
4. The Gannett Foundation provided $2,500 in grant funding to purchase literacy, occupational therapy and other program supplies.
5. The Arc received $5,500 in grant funding from the Kenlou Foundation to purchase occupational therapy and literacy supplies.
6. The Children’s Guild Foundation provided $9,864 in grant funding through the Mabel Louise Burns Education Fund for a laptop and DT Trainer, adaptive toys, Dynavox, FM Systems and PECS supplies.
7. Orleans Community Health (Dental Project) provided $750 in funding for Rainbow Preschool program supplies.
At Family Support Services & Recreation Program…
8. The Agency received $16,000 in grant funding from the AT&T Foundation to assist with the transition of young adults from school age to adulthood.
9. NYSARC provided $500 in funding to assist with costs related to guardianship.
At Day Habilitation Program...
10. The Genesee-Orleans Regional Arts Council (GO ART) provided $400 in grant funding to create a quilt about our community.
Agency-Wide…
11. The NYSARC Trust provided $5,000 in grant funding to provide recreational activities for those we serve.
12. We received $423 in grant funding from The Community Foundation through the Hubertus and Helmi Behria Endowment Fund to provide toys at Christmas to children of lower income families in Orleans County.
