The Arc is continuing to celebrate our 40th Anniversary with several upcoming events in July and August of 2010.
You’ll be able to rock to the music of the 1970’s, get your car washed, eat some goodies, and perhaps win the door prize if you join us from 10:00 to 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at The Arc’s Auto Detail located at 11337 Maple Ridge Road, Medina. Feel free to come dressed up in your 1970’s finery! Platform shoes are optional. Rain date is scheduled for Thursday, July 22, 2010 from 10:00 to 2:00.
On Sunday, August 1, 2010 from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm., The Arc will hold a Founder’s Fair at Camp Rainbow (2272 Townline Road in Lyndonville, NY) to celebrate our 40 years! It will be a special day of family fun, food, and fantastic music. We will be recognizing those folks who made The Arc of Orleans County possible – our founders. The group Flame will be performing from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Flame is an extremely talented group that happens to be made up of individuals with developmental disabilities. They have traveled the world performing as well as appeared on such television shows as Good Morning America. Check out their website at www.flametheband.com for more news and information about the band. We will have Chicken BBQ, hotdogs, basket raffle, quilt raffle, 50/50 raffle, and many games for people of all ages.
We will continue to share information about these events as well as the other 40th Anniversary celebrations in the coming weeks. For more information call the Community Relations Department at 585-589-5516.
