The Arc of Orleans County, one of fifty-five chapters of NYSARC, Inc., is pleased to announce the kickoff of the 2010 NYSARC, Inc. Convention Theme Design Competition. The winner of the competition will win a new laptop computer donated by CMI Communications in Rochester, NY as well as an etched glass award.
Individuals eligible to enter the design competition include Arc staff and their families, individual served by The Arc, family members of people served, and chapter members. New York State students in grades seven through twelve and those in college are also eligible to participate.
All designs will be on display at the NYSARC Convention being held October 14th through 16th at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Albany, New York. Convention attendees will have the opportunity to view and vote on their favorite artwork. The winning artwork will be used for the 2011 NYSARC, Inc. Annual Convention which will carry the theme “Advocacy in Action: Moving Forward.”
The deadline to submit a design is Wednesday, September 15th. Those interested in submitting their original artwork should contact Denise Withey, Community Relations Specialist at The Arc of Orleans County for an application and all contest rules.
