DDAM and Genesee ARC 50th Anniversary Golden Gala

The month of March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month!

There will be lots going on to promote awareness, acceptance, and education about people with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Keep an eye out for those events, posts, and resources.

An amazing event that falls in line with this focus is our sister agency's anniversary event. GenARC will be putting on an amazing program the second weekend in March.

Genesee ARC is celebrating 50 years! Join us in commemorating their milestone on March 12 at 12:30 p.m. The event starts with an art show of work done by individuals served by the agencies. You will be able to meet the artists and view their artwork on in the Stuart Steiner Theatre lobby at Genesee Community College.

The Sprout Film Festival starts at 1:00 p.m. where original films about people with disabilities will be shown.

At 2:30, there will be the presentation of the Mary Anne Graney Scholarship Awards, and the evening will end with a 50th Anniversary Celebration and Reception!

For more information, contact Shelley Falicito, GenARC Director of Development, at 585-343-4203 or visit geneseearc.org

Admission is free, and donations are appreciatively accepted.
