Sprout Fim Festival Coming to Batavia

In celebration of Genesee ARC's 45th anniversary, they are sponsoring a local screening of the Sprout Film Festival. The event, which showcases films by and about people with developmental disabilites, willbe held Saturday, March 19th, at the Batavia High School auditorium.

Sprout is a prive, non-profit organization founded in 1979 whose mission is to provide innovative programming that raises the profile and showcases the work of people with developmental disabilities.

The showing will include a selection of short films, ranging from documentaries to music videos. Some films are moving, enlightening, and inspirational; other are humorous, whimsical, and fun.

The afternoon show runs from 2:30 - 4:30 PM. The evening show, running from 6:00 - 8:00 PM, will feature different films than the afternoon show. There is now charge to attend the event, but donations are gratefully accepted. Anyone with questions may call Shelley Falitico, Direct of Development with Genesee ARC, at 585-343-1123 ext. 231.
