Albion 2nd Graders Raise $7,248 for Camp Rainbow

Albion 2nd Grade Teachers with Executive Director Kellie Spychalski
The second graders at Albion Elementary School have been hard at work this year, not only doing their school work but also helping The Arc of Orleans County's Camp Rainbow.  The students took part in a week long spelling test after asking their family and friends for pledges to benefit the Camp.  Their efforts helped raise $7,248.50 to help with the upkeep of the grounds and pool, and purchase items needed at Camp this summer.

Emily Harling was the top student, raising $1,097.00, what is believed to be a record amount raised.  The top class was Mrs. Beach's class with $$1,700; the class received a pizza party for their efforts.  The entire second grade, along with teachers, and chaparones enjoyed a day at Camp Rainbow and traveled from station to station doing arts and crafts, story time, games, and music.

The Arc of Orleans County would like to thank the Albion Elementary second graders and their teachers for all their hard work raising money and also for the gifts they donated to Camp Rainbow.

Albion students help plant the tree they donated to Camp Rainbow.
